The objective of the Summary section is to match keyword searches, engage the reader with your story and to get readers to view your whole profile.
Use keywords as part of your story. Try to make them fit in smoothly. Write as though you were speaking directly to another person. Write like that. Reference other parts of your profile in ways that make the reader want to read those parts. Be interesting.
Whenever LinkedIn offers you a menu of choices, select from the menu. This improves the chance of your profile matching in a search. Never type the entire selection by hand. You might enter something that is unique, something that will never match most searches....
There are many things you can do that will eliminate you from a search. Typos, misspelled words, inaccurate statements, wrong photo choice, the list is endless. On the other hand, there is almost nothing you can do to push yourself to the next level of consideration. So proofread again and again....
